What do I need to know before buying a mouthguard?

A mouthguard is subject to the regulations for >Personal Protective Equipment< (PPE)
The PPE category also includes, for example, protective helmets, firefighters' protective suits, safety footwear, hearing protection, etc. They can only be sold with a valid certificate and the corresponding CE mark. (RÈGLEMENT (UE) 2016/425)

Why a CE-certified mouthguard?

So why is it important to use a mouthguard bearing a valid CE mark?
If you are injured or damaged while using a protective device without CE marking or certification, your health, disability or life insurance may refuse to pay.

SoluGuard Contact has been completely redesigned and is now validly CE marked.
The reason for this was the decision by the European standards body CEN to revise the "Personal protective equipment for sports activities" standard.

Under the aegis of France, the European S70C Committee recently completed the revision of the standard. It is now in force in France and will soon be published by the European Committee for Standardization to replace the 1989 standard in Europe.
