SLS , Sodium Lauryl Sulphate: One problematic substance is a foaming surfactant, i.e. a washing-active substance. Relatively aggressive and can irritate the mucous membranes. Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is considered allergenic and irritating to the skin. Its use can therefore lead to or promote small, painful mouth ulcers (aphthae).
